The Maryland SBDC, in partnership with the Anne Arundel County Office of Emergency Management, invites small business owners across the state to a free virtual Zoom training: “Weathering the Storm: Preparing for Severe Weather, Tornadoes, and Tropical Cyclones.” This session is specially designed to help Maryland entrepreneurs protect their businesses, employees, and operations before, during, and after extreme weather events. You’ll gain critical insights on: -The role of Emergency Management in disaster response -Business-focused strategies for heat hazards, floods, tornadoes, and tropical storms -Understanding and preparing for severe thunderstorms -Disaster planning tailored for small businesses -How to get involved in your local emergency preparedness network -An opportunity to share your own experiences and learn from peers Who Should Attend: Small business owners, entrepreneurs, and organizational leaders looking to enhance their business resilience and continuity planning.
