Description: Most tax-saving opportunities disappear once the calendar turns. This December webinar walks small business owners through both halves of a strong year-end: getting the books accurate and taking the planning steps that must happen before December 31. On the recordkeeping side, participants will learn how to reconcile accounts, clean up outstanding receivables and payables, review the chart of accounts, document owner draws and loans, confirm fixed asset and inventory records, and gather contractor information for information-return filing.
On the planning side, the session covers timing income and expenses, equipment and asset purchase decisions, retirement plan contributions, owner compensation considerations for pass-through entities, estimated tax payment review, and reasonable projections of the year's taxable income. Participants will leave with a year-end checklist and a clear list of questions to bring to their tax preparer while there is still time to act. Presenter, Bev Stitely; Saunders Tax & Accounting, LLC
